I wrote a promotional piece that was published in today’s The Vancouver Sun and The Province. It was fun to do real “research” on the hiking trails, away from my computer. I enjoyed the experience so much that I bought a gondola pass. Here’s the article:

I’m sitting on an enormous granite outcropping with epic views of Howe Sound and the Squamish Valley. My spectacular rocky perch on Al’s Habrich Trail was once the domain of only the heartiest adventurers. Now, Squamish’s Sea to Sky Gondola has opened up an amazing new world of hiking and walking opportunities.

  5. Try to go on a weekday. It is getting very busy on the weekends. Let me know if you’d like any specific info about the hikes. The article was written for a general audience with the intent of showing that there is a hike for everyone.
If you have time/interest I’d love to meet you for a coffee. We’re in Horseshoe Bay.

  6. Oh so this is what Don was talking about last week – “Lets drive to Squamish and go hiking!” We didn’t yet, but no doubt we will sometime soon since we’re in Van thru the end of Aug except for the first 3 weeks of July. Off now to read your article.
